Fight Home Forclosures!

Bring information to residents at risk of forclosure to help them save their home.   This work is also key to on-going negotiations with banks in providing better services and modification to our community.

Support the Latino Community @ City View Apartments

Spanish Speaking (or not) volunteers will be partnered with CV residents to go door to door bringing invitations and  information about an up-coming block party and resource fair  on August 28.

Encourage Neighborhood Senior Citizens

Provide basic home maintenance and lawn care to Seniors in our Neighborhood

Beautify a Northside Clinic
We will finish staining a fence and doing other outdoor clean-up at the Fremont Clinic


8:30 AM - MEET TOGETHER FOR COFFEE, BAGELS AND TRAINING

9:00 AM - 12:00 PM - SERVE (or as we like to think of it, LOVE)

12:00 PM - 1:00 PM - LUNCH (optional)

The volunteers were great, worked hard, had fun and got LOTS accomplished.

In the few hours we were there we packaged enough food to feed 5860 people!

Thank you to all who came out! The Emergency Foodshelf Network is doing great work to get healthy and affordable foods on the tables of people in our community and we are so glad that we were able to partner with them this month!

that collects, warehouses and distributes high quality food
and essential support services to Minnesota hunger relief organizations.

There were just about 1000 kids that came through that morning to purchase gifts for their family and friends. The kids were super excited to be there! It was cold but everyone had a great spirit of service working inside and out. Thank you for helping to make this event a success!

We hope to see you in February. (there will be no Love Minneapolis event January 2010)

through 6th grade, come to The Plymouth Christian Youth Center
(www.pcyc-mpls.org) to learn about ʻgivingʼ.

Instead of coming to shop for themselves, each child donates $1 to buy 5 new
and unwrapped gifts for their family members and friends.
They are met at the door by a caring volunteer and go shopping
around the room, choosing presents for their loved ones.

This will be our third year partnering with PCYC and
we are super excited to come back this year!

You all got more yards raked then we had planned… and got to meet some people in the community… which is fantastic!
The group at the food shelf helped sort and organize, etc… which really helped Groveland to be able to serve their people better!
